Egypt News.Net Sunday 12th October, 2008
The alleged terrorists behind deadly bomb attacks in the northern city of Tripoli in Lebanon have been arrested.
An army statement has claimed several members of a terrorist cell have been taken into custody.
The army said other explosives for use in fresh attacks were discovered during the arrest operation.
Those arrested are being questioned, but army sources say a search is still underway for a leading member of the cell, named as Abdul Ghani Ali Jawhar.
It is believed the arrested men are Palestinian and Lebanese.
The terror cell members are being blamed for an attck in which four soldiers and three civilians were killed when an explosion ripped through a military bus in Tripoli on September 29th.
A similar attack in mid-August killed 14 people, including nine soldiers and a child.
