Barack Obama facing criticism over European tour
Egypt News.Net Saturday 26th July, 2008
White House hopeful Barack Obama has agreed to co-operate with the UK on climate change, terrorism and the economy.
After talks with UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown in London, Mr Obama, on the final leg of his European tour, thanked the British people for their support in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He said: "I know that the troops in Great Britain have borne a heavy price for wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan and I think the American people are grateful for all their help."
He also spoke of a shared history and the role of the "English tradition" in shaping the US constitution and the "deep and abiding affection for the British people in America and a fascination with all things British."
Prime Minister Brown was careful to avoid being accused of taking sides in the Presidential campaign, and gave Obama a similar welcome to that he offered his rival John McCain earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Mr Obama has been forced to defend this week’s world tour after attacks from his opposition.
While in London, he admitted that some American voters might have preferred him to campaign in the United States and not travel abroad gaining foreign policy experience.
He told reporters "I’m not sure that there’s not going to be some immediate political impact. We have been out of the country for a week, people are worried about gas prices, they are worried about home foreclosures."
After the UK, Mr Obama will return to the US where he faces Republican rival John McCain in November's presidential election.
The latest opinion polls in the US show Mr Obama leads Mr McCain by between one and six percent.

Barack Obama facing criticism over European tour
It is imperative that he should work hard to win my vote. I am still not in agreement of his politican view and to be honest about I do not have any idea what is his visit overseas. There is no political gain to it, except if he is very sure the American people will vote for him.It is shaky for now.

It is time to change and bring the new guard. Obama is the God sent alternative to save the future and People from further misery.
Now there is nothing to stop him from just walking into White House. Go Obama Go. WE wish you GOD speed.

Deal with IT
I wonder why some people are hating on the Democrat Barack Obama. This man has every potential and no doubt why the Republicans are bickering around.Look at how people respond whenever He stands to speak. Now thats our next President.

English language and Obama
It is interesting to note that almost all Obama supporters have a difficult time using correct English when writing responses. Either it shows a lack of education or just a pure lack of pride.

Ridiculous article and comments all around
Pointe 1) Gallup poll daily tracking is showing a significant uptick in polls for Obama due to his overseas trip. The man has just landed back in the US, the bounce will not be felt for several days.
Point 2) Speaking directly to gadfly, it is a fact that 90 percent of Americans with a post graduate degree voted Democrat. There is a definitely a correlation that shows the higher the education, the more that person will vote democrat, and hence will vote for Senator Obama.
The republicans represent the LOWEST common denominator of this country. All the seem to base their vote on are “god, guns and gays”. Ignorant, and un-enlightened is the typical republican voter.
Obama’s trip here in the US, is playing out as a triumph by any measure, and as a result you will see a fairly substantial bounce in the coming days.

Give Barack a break
Poor Obama, the man just can’t win. 1st he was criticised for not going overseas, then he took on the challenge and went and now he’s being faced with endless criticism. Lord, give the man a break.
The fact is alot of republicans are jealous of the fact that he was so well received. Afterall, McCain did not have such great reception when he travelled abroad. I mean who really wants to see Bush’s no. 2’s old face?

The Reality
People especially the American people should face the reality as far as the 2008 elections are concerned. From the campaign speeches of Mr Obama and Mr McChain,we its very easy to determine who is suitable for the White House. Many Americans have lost their lives and are still loosing their lives and i don’t think American citizens are ready to have another Republican(Bush)rule them. This is a fact.We all wish Obama the best and we believe all his promises will come true.Go Obama,Go.The Lord is with you.
